The product, in the report: My Turtle and Me by [REDACTED] - Light-Up Interactive Children’s Book ISBN: 978-0545-43387-7
My son received the “My Turtle and Me” light-up interactive book last year, printed by Cartwheel Books, an imprint of Scholastic - ISBN 978-0-545-43387-7. At the time, he was about two years-old. A week or two after we started reading it, the plastic cracked over the light-up turtle exposing the light-up mechanism comprised of small pieces that are possibly dangerous and/or choking hazards. Further, the cracked plastic was sharp and hurt his finger. The plastic chosen to make this “turtle” is too brittle for this application.
I was going to write sooner, but set it aside and almost just through the book away, but I thought I should write because I am concerned that another child may hurt themselves on this book.
