Hurt, care not known Made Nov 15, 2011, sent to the company Nov 22, 2011, published by CPSC Dec 7, 2011
The product, in the report: US Gypsum drywall
My home was built in 2004.Since then I have been experiencing several complications such as corroded faucets, malfunctioning air conditioning due to corroded coils, Malfuntioning TVs,Irons,Microwave, Energy efficiency bulbs with short lifespan, Tarnished and blackened jewelry , coins and any other metals in the home. Personally my son and i had been experiencing nosebleeds, headaches, persistent non productive cough and irritated eyes. Unaware of what could have been the source of these numerous problems we lived in the home for 6 yrs. It became unbearable when the air conditioner stopped cooling again and i was told i needed a new unit. I had been hearing about the chinese drywall and decided it was time to get my home checked. Surely enough it was confirmed that my house was built with defective drywall manufactured by US Gypsum. My son and i had to relocate and i am not able to continue to pay the mortgage and for a rental. I have been trying to seek remediation but very unsuccessful thus far. My builder went out of business and I have no one to turn to. I am a single mom and would like to have my home back.
