Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: C&K Chinese Drywall

I had my home built between August 2007 and November 2007. There have been several houses in my neighborhood that have said they have Chinese Drywall. I decided that I should be safe and just double check. Low and behold, I cut a hole in my closet wall and it was stamped Made in China. The actual stamp reads: “C&K GYPSUM BOARD ASTM C 1396 MADE IN CHINA 20060626”

I have contacted a few attorneys and have attempted to contact the builder, Mobley Homes in Tampa FL but I have not made contact yet. From what I am being told, they are telling home owners that they will not speak about it and they can contact their attorneys.
