The product, in the report: Cat scratching post/toy. Particle board base, string and ball with jingle bell. Black/tan

I bought a cat scratching post from the TJ Maxx at 1745 W Fullerton, Chicago, IL 60614 Wednesday 5/11/16. One of my cats played with it for hours, biting and scratching it, the other avoided it. The cat that came in contact with the toy began spraying with blood spotting, mucous, and is noticeably ill. I rubbed my hand across the toy and got a sort of fiberglass-like splinter in my finger confirming the hazard. Please see the attached photos for product info. 1 contacted the store and they’ve pulled the item from their shelves, but I want to ensure that all stores pull the item t it’s been investigated as it poses a hazard to pets as well as children/adults.
