  1. No one hurt

Made Apr 7, 2021, sent to the company Apr 9, 2021, published by CPSC Apr 23, 2021

The product, in the report: I purchased a Skinneeez Extreme Stuffers Cow manufactured by Ethical Pet, 27 Federal Plaza, Bloomfield, NJ 07003 . It is a brown/black Cow without any stuffing, but has a squeaker.

I purchased a Skinneeez Extreme Stuffers dog toy manufactured by Ethical Pet. It is a Cow without any stuffing, but has a squeaker. My dog loves it! But that’s where the good news ends.

She played with this toy on & off for a few hours, and the next thing we knew, she had dug out the squeaker and was about to separate it from the toy completely, when we spotted it. I cut the squeaker out to keep her safe, but she loved the toy so much, I returned the Cow to her this morning. The next thing I knew, we found a dismembered Cow ear on the floor. Had she swallowed it, it would not have digested. When we picked up the cow, to our horror, we discovered three straight pins in the toy!! We don’t know if our dog has eaten any straight pins, but they should not have been left in the toy at all! This toy has the potential of killing any dogs (or children) who play with it and needs to be recalled immediately!

I have written to the company just now, and have not yet received a reply. Their email is cs@ethicalproducts.com.
