The product, in the report: herehomi Grey oval heated cat bed
Weird smell started to occur, check heated pet bed and it’s incredibly hot. Upon inspection the heating element was incredibly hot. It was unplugged and allowed to cool in the garage. Upon inspection, it burned through the mat, and started to burn my bedroom carpet through the padded pet bed itself. The coils had started to burn and melt the casing it resides in. Luckily my cat was not using the product yet, as we were getting ready for bed ourselves. This is a pet bed we had been using for 6 months at this point. Plugged into a wall and adjusted to a temperature indicated on the built in remote.
