The product, in the report: Glad, Activated charcoal pet pads in bright yellow wrapping . They’re black so you can’t tell when they’re soiled and they are EXTREMELY EXTREMELY slippery!! The pet urine turns to gel, as it says on the wrapper - made with polymers.
Hi, I’m a 66 yo woman, and I live in Utah. I need to report an unsafe product. Glad Activated Charcoal Pet Pads in a bright yellow package. The pads are black, so you can’t tell that they’re soiled. THEY ARE EXTREMELY EXTREMELY SLIPPERY!!!!. The bag says it turns urine into gel. I’ve accidentally slipped on these twice, now. The first time I slipped, I flew up, landed hard on my bottom and my back hit the stairs. I had to wait for my husband to get home and help me up. It was traumatizing to say the least. Today, I was in a hurry to answer my phone, as it was my daughter calling. I didn’t see that my husband had placed a pad by the door. I barely stepped on it and this time, landed on my right leg and broke my right foot, and had to sit there because, again, it knocked the wind out of me. It’s so jarring and so traumatic when you’re my age and home alone. I can’t drive to the doctors office to have it x-rayed because it’s my right foot. It isn’t very swollen but the pain is extremely sharp. It has completely stopped me in my tracks which is not a good thing ESPECIALLY for seniors who have doctor appointments and/or for those who are older and not real stable on their feet. Too, its very costly for seniors on Social Security. MORE than ANYTHING, someone can very SERIOUSLY injured- broken hip, back or neck or even a head injury, all of which can create an end of life situation. My brother just died from a broken neck and back. He was 79 yo - [REDACTED] and we ALL miss him terribly. Please do whatever you can to prevent someone else from falling and injuring themselves and causing unnecessary suffering and/or death. If you need more information, my name is [REDACTED] and my number is [REDACTED]. Please make this a priority. Thank you.
