  1. No one hurt

The product, in the report: Pieviev Cat Litter Mat Double Layer Waterproof Urine Proof Trapping Mat (30’’X24’’, Grey)

On Sunday (August 9, 2020), I had three Pievic Cat Litter Mat Double Layer Waterproof Urine Trapping Mats delivered to my apartment via Amazon. Each time on the Amazon order form had the following serial numbers: AZ:C51BYBDUZ5D9XBRFEGJCU3INNM, AZ:DY4W8OGZFBC3XDOS8FW1F194MY and AZ:DY4W8OGZFBC3XDOS8FW1F194MY.

When I opened the Amazon box, all three litter mats came in their own respective plastic bag zip locked shut. As I opened the mats, I noticed a very strong smell of rubber. This smell began to make me nauseated and feel lightheaded. After noticing that I felt this way, I immediately placed two of the litter mats back into their case. The third I could not place back into the plastic bag because the bag ripped. I then placed all three of the mats back into the original box and closed it.

Over two hours later, I still feel very nauseous and dizzy. When I went back into the box to throw away the mat the was not in a sealed back, the nausea and dizziness despite wearing a mask to protect myself from the smell.

I am concerned that these mats contain a material that could be dangerous to both my health, my partner’s health, and my cats’ health.
