The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Cat Dancer Original Cat Interactive Toy

I was opening an item I received in a pet subscription box. The item is called Cat Dancer Interactive Cat Toy, and it is basically a couple of pieces of cardboard on a piece of wire. The back of the card that was included with the product said “Be careful when unwrapping the toy, it has a lot of energy wound up in it”. I opened it cautiously (it was wound in a loop), but was unprepared for how fast it whipped out when I dislodged the cardboard “handle” from the wire. It dinged me just above my eye and left a welt on my forehead. This was way too close to my eye and I am very worried that the next person won’t be so lucky. This product is available on Amazon.
