No one hurt Made Dec 1, 2022, sent to the company Dec 20, 2022, published by CPSC Jan 5, 2023
The product, in the report: T3 convertible base curling iron Model Number: 765ATT8 Serial Number: 3421fa085079454
I purchased a hair styling tool from the brand T3. It has a base with a cord and a detachable heated attachment that you wrap your hair around to curl it. While using the product, the heated attachment burned through the cord and the wires are visible. The cord melted under the heat applied by the product itself. I have used heated hair products for years and this has never happened before. Under the UCC, this product comes with an implied warranty that covers foreseeable uses of the product by the consumer. It is foreseeable that the heated part of the item will come in contact with the cord during use. The cords should be covered in material that can withstand the temperature that the product heats up to. It is a serious safety hazard and the exposed wires can seriously injure or electrocute the consumer using the product.

Hurt, no treatment Made May 5, 2018, sent to the company Jun 22, 2018, published by CPSC Jul 9, 2018
The product, in the report: White 2 inch barrel curling iron
I purchased a T3 curling iron model number 73590 a few years ago at an Ulta store. The cord became unattached at the the rear of the iron exposing the electrical pin. When I picked it up to see why it wasn’t heating I received a shock. The iron is in good condition otherwise, I don’t use it everyday. It has been gently used.
