The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. Hurt, care not known

Made May 4, 2026, sent to the company Jul 6, 2026, published by CPSC Jul 20, 2026

The product, in the report: Curling Iron

The product’s design is bad. It keeps turning and burning the consumer. She has used it a couple of times, and she keeps getting burned.

The company told her they would give her a refund, but she thinks the product should be sold since it is dangerous. The company should recall it.

(07/2026) I can send you photos of the burns after they scabbed. Please investigate the safety of the product. At this point, I have not yet returned the product to them. Please advise whether you need it.

Made Dec 8, 2017, sent to the company Mar 15, 2018, published by CPSC Mar 30, 2018

The product, in the report: L’ANGE Ondulé 32mm titanium curling wand

On 12/05/2017, I attempted to use a new L’ange Ondulé curling wand, following their instructions and wearing the glove they provided for heat protection. The wand touched my wrist and instantly burned a 1 1/2 in, x 1 in. area of skin very severely. The burn blistered and peeled within 12 hours and will require weeks of healing. A scar is likely. I am returning the product as I see no way to use it safely without this happening again, perhaps to my face or neck. I can not imagine this in a home where children might come in contact with it. If you need a picture of the burn, let me know. I suggested to the company that it was defective, but they confirmed it was not and said it produces 410° if direct heat.
