The product, in the report: from AMAZON.COM: FURIDEN Flat Iron Hair Straightener, Hair Straightener and Curler 2 in 1, Easy Hair Curler for Long Thick Hair/Curly Hair, Extended Aluminum Plates, Long-Last Defined Curls
FURIDEN flat iron straightener - suddenly stopped working and burned my hair completely off my head. It is an electrical product and suddenly the temperature control appears to have stopped working and I smelled burning hair. I looked t the flat iron and about 100 hairs from my head were melted to it and sizzling. The hair on my head was burned to a crispy brown color. I had to cut it off. I subsequently read Amazon review and saw this is happening to many other people. This is dangerous and should be taken off the market.

No one hurt Made Mar 29, 2023, sent to the company Apr 4, 2023, published by CPSC Apr 18, 2023
The product, in the report: Furiden 1 inch flat hair straightener. Ceramic material. 11.6 x 1.3 x 1.3 inches; 1 Pounds Item model number ? : ? LM-166
I used this flat iron occasionally a few times a year and owned it for less than two years. It recently burned off chunks of my hair and damaged a significant portion of it to where its still breaking off till this day. Clearly, it overheated and then short circuited.
