The product, in the report: Safe-Seat brand seat for shopping cart
I was shopping at Safeway on First St. in Livermore yesterday and placed my 9 month old, roughly 19 pound baby in the “Safe-Seat” brand seat provided in the shopping cart. The item said that it was approved for this age and weight. The strap goes over her head, over her shoulders, and between her legs to buckle. Thankfully I was right there and able to grab her quickly, but she turned herself around in the seat in an attempt to stand up. The strap that was over her head was then twisted around her neck and I had to pull her out of the seat. The seat remained buckled even though I had pulled her out. I am concerned about the stranglation and falling hazzards for parents who are not as attentive as I was.
