The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. Seen by a doctor or nurse

Made Aug 3, 2011, published by CPSC Aug 26, 2011

The product, in the report: Cube shaped object with a rectangular profile. Black plastic base with a clear cover. Blue plastic magnetic button for dispensing razor blades.

Purchased SMARTEDGE 100 Pack Single Edge Dispenser by Personna Pro American Safety Razor Company. Opened package by cutting thin plastic packaging. Pulled back plastic packaging and 100 razor blades were dispensed from the spring loaded dispenser. Razor blades fell to the counter and floor, hitting my legs as they fell. (Note: Wearing shorts, did not realize leg was bleeding approximately 2 inches above my ankle until my wife ask about the blood.) Spring action caused the blades to travel in every direction.
