  1. Hurt, no treatment

The product, in the report: USB heated gloves for women & men. Adjustable temperature double-sided full and half hand warming knitted gloves

I purchased a pair of “knitted gloves” on Amazon that plug into a USB port and heat up to keep a person’s hands warm while using a keyboard or other activities while in the house (Not for outside use) These gloves have a mitten top that folds over to expose the fingers. These are to keep the hands warm with a controlled temperature. I bought these for a elderly disabled woman. She was using them on a regular basis for a two week period, when they caught on fire. Because of the quick thinking of her daughter, her hands were only scorched. the smell of plastic and electrical burning plus smoke permeated her room. I contacted Amazon about these gloves but was told to return them for my money back. The safety of others is more important than the $18.00 I spent on the gloves. These gloves should not be sold to the public. a child, elderly or disables may not be able to react in time to stop the fire from spreading toother areas of the room. Amazon would not even take this into consideration. their only o[tion was to return the burnt pair for a refund. I have decided to keep the pair, in case they need to be inspected for safety conserns.
