The product, in the report: Neoprene polyester Elastic Belt
The caller stated that he developed an allergic reaction from the elastic belt because the warning label did not display that the it had latex. He wore it to bed and he woke up with hives in the area where the belt was located. He went to William Beaumont Hospital where he was treated and sent home.
The belt was advertised for losing weight in the waist area and for back support.
The manufacturer was not contacted as yet.
The caller feels that this belt is unsafe due to the fact that it could cause him to have a seizure because there was no information about latex and he is allergic to it. There’s no warning about wearing the belt over night.
