The product, in the report: Purse
The consumer indicates that his wife placed her purse on the kitchen table. Two hours later, the consumer’s wife noticed that the purse had caught fire due to sunlight coming from an open blind. The consumer put the purse in water. The purse had a burn hole about two inches wide.
The consumer contacted the Manufacturer and explained the situation; the representative he spoke to informed him there was nothing they could do as the purse should not have been in direct sunlight and it was not a manufacturer’s defect.
The consumer states that his wife only used her purse five to six times.
The consumer plans on keeping the purse for at least the next thirty days in case an investigation ensues.
