The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Bib

Consumer placed her 6 month old daughter down for tummy time. About five minutes later the consumer heard her baby began to choke. The consumer pulled the bib from out of her mouth but the child swallowed the tag. The consumer was able to eventually get the tag out of her breathing passage.

The child did not need CPR and did not have any noticeable injuries. The child’s Pediatrician ([REDACTED]) was contacted and instructed the consumer to monitor the child for any behavioral changes.

The retailer was contacted and a report was taken.

The consumer believes after witnessing her child choke that there shorter tags on the baby products to prevent any future choking hazards.
