Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made Oct 3, 2019, sent to the company Oct 24, 2019, published by CPSC Nov 14, 2019

The product, in the report: Arshiner boys rain jacket Available in 2/3, 4/5, 6/7 Note: cannot upload files as I am completing this on an [REDACTED].

I purchased from Amazon, a Arshiner boys toddler rain jacket size 110 (4/5). My grandson wore it twice. Yesterday, when zipping the zipper, the zipper pull went all of the way up and off the top of the zipper tape. Upon examination, I noticed several things: The top zipper-stop was very irregular shaped, possibly allowing the zipper top to go past the “stop”. The zipper pull is not a firm metal, it bends very easily with slight pressure. I was able to put the zipper pull back on the tape with minimal effort beginning back at the top of the tape, but the zipper pull will come off easily again with minimal effort. When I purchased the jacket, it was available in three sizes (2/3, 4/5, 6/7)

(Note: I am very familiar with kids product safety having attended the CPSC conferences on product safety for many years prior to retiring.)

I sent a message regarding my concern about the safety of this item to the vendor; someone from the company read the message but did not respond.
