Hurt, no treatment Made Jul 21, 2026, sent to the company Jul 24, 2026, published by CPSC Aug 7, 2026
The product, in the report: Product Name: VSX Featherweight Max Front-Close Sports Bra Item / Style Numbers: 27006744, 26893918, 27057404 Size-34B
I purchased three VSX Featherweight Max Front-Close Sports Bras online. During my first workouta strength training sessionI noticed mild redness beneath the front closure area, which I initially attributed to heat. The following day, I wore a second bra from the same order for a run. During my shower immediately after, I experienced a severe burning sensation and discovered that the bottom edge of the front zipper/closure hardware had caused a significant skin abrasion, completely stripping away a patch of skin on my upper abdomen. The design of the lower front closure lacks sufficient protective padding/lining, causing exposed metal or hard plastic edges to dig directly into the skin during movement. Photographic evidence of both the injury and the product invoice has been documented and attached.

The product, in the report: Gel Bra
Caller is reporting that the gel bra she purchased about 4-5 years ago seemed to have given her arthritis in your right thumb and left pointer finger. She stated that she has worn the bra before but not that often probably years ago. However, after wearing it about 2 weeks for about 4 times, she stated that she noticed that gel had leaked out onto her clothing. She stated that about 4/17 she noticed again that her clothing had oil and didn’t realize it was coming from the bra. She stated that she did not have any rash on her body.
Caller stated that she has not had any arthritis problems until after wearing the bra during the 2 week period. She received medical attention in April but did not mention the incident to the doctor.
Caller stated that the company was not contacted.
Caller feels that the contents in the gel maybe a health hazard.

First aid Made Sep 21, 2015, sent to the company Sep 29, 2015, published by CPSC Oct 14, 2015
The product, in the report: 3 Victoria’s secret bras
I had bought 3 Victoria’s Secret bras at the end of August and started using them in September. After a couple of uses (without washing the bras), I started getting very itchy hives on my skin (mainly the bra area), small at first but then they started to become bigger. They also started to spread to the rest of my body (extremities and back). I took an antihistamine late that day and they were gone the next day. I didn’t realize it was the bras until I wore them again the next day (a different one from the same set of purchase) and experienced the same thing, but this time it was worse as it happened faster, and the hives were bigger. Washing the bras doesn’t help because just touching the bras after I wash them, triggered another reaction of hives. I am sure it is the bra because I have no other allergies, and when I started using them was when it started happening. The hives also stopped when I stopped wearing them.
