The product, in the report: Black, white and pink Rubberoos brand socks. The socks are white with some pink details on them. The soles are black, sticky rubber with pink hearts and lettering on them.

We received some Rubberoos socks for our 13 month old daughter for Christmas from a family member. We thought they would be great to help our daughter learn to walk without slipping, because they have sticky plastic on the soles. However, they are real safety hazard. For the next couple weeks I kept finding little pink, sticky pieces of plastic on the floor around the house. It was very concerning to me, because I didn’t know it was coming from and I was very worried our daughter would find these pieces on the floor and choke on them. Finally, I found some pieces of this plastic in the washing machine, and we discovered that it was coming from her socks. All the little pink hearts and “rubberoos” lettering had fallen off the bottom of one of her socks.

I recently bought the rubberoos slipper socks for my 7 month old who is starting to stand. I wanted something to keep him from slipping but didn’t want shoes. I started finding little red letter on the floor tonight and wasn’t sure what they were until I looked at the bottom of these socks after I found the third letter. This is only the 2nd time he wore them!! When I looked at the bottom of both I realized that almost all the letters and all the arrows are gone off one and only one arrow off the other are gone. If my son ended up putting them in his mouth he could have choked.
