  1. No incident, no one hurt

The product, in the report: Ravean Women’s Heated Jacket https://ravean.com/pages/heated-jackets Mine was a couple years old. I don’t have exact date of purchase but it was a gift from my husband, [REDACTED] if the company has any record. It had a larger Yellow battery pack.

Battery of heated jacket exploded. It was charging and there was a pop and then it blow up in a fireball about 4 or 5 square feet. It must have been very hot because while we were so lucky to be home, but not within shot of the explosion, it caused a lot of damage in just a few seconds. We put it out with a fire extinguisher within seconds but it already scorched the wood floor and kitchen island, and burned what was in proximity to it, shooting out as far as 12 feet. I wrote the company a few days ago but have not heard back, Here is a link to the jacket, mine is a few years old and they show a black battery in the new image, mine was Yellow. Lucky I was not wearing it or I would have had very bad burns, or if we were out or asleep I don’t even want to think how bad it could have been.
