Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. First aid

Made Jan 9, 2026, sent to the company Jan 14, 2026, published by CPSC Feb 11, 2026

The product, in the report: Adult womens fleece cardigan / sweater purchased from Ross Dress for Less. The garment is beige/light brown with a soft fleece lining and zipper front. While wearing the cardigan at home, a sharp sewing needle with thread attached was discovered sewn into the inside lining of the garment. The needle was hidden and not visible from the outside. The needle punctured my body when I moved, and this posed an extreme safety risk as I was about to pick up my newborn baby.

I purchased a cardigan from Ross Dress for Less and brought it home.

After wearing the garment, a sewing needle threaded with yarn punctured my body. The needle was hidden inside the clothing and not visible.

This occurred seconds before I was about to pick up my newborn baby. If I had picked up my infant, the needle could have caused a serious or fatal injury.

I experienced a puncture injury, and this product represents a severe safety hazard, especially to infants and children.

I have photo and video evidence showing the sewing needle inside the garment.
