The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Little Me pink infant sleepers with duck on chest

Product is Little Me pink infant sleepers with yellow duck and flower on front. Code on label is rn20864 ca16190.

I was putting this one piece on my infant recently and noticed that ring shaped backing portion of one of the snaps had loosened and fallen off of the garment. A week or two later, I took the garment back out to inspect it. As I was unsnapping the snaps, another snap broke off. The ‘stud’ portion of the snap remained stuck in the socket portion while the ring shaped baking portion of the snap pulled off of the fabric when I unsnapped the garment. This garment has been washed / dried in home washers / dryers and worn by a young infant who has not damaged the garment. The piece that broke off in each instance (same piece, different snaps) appears to be a choking hazard.

The product, in the report: Little Me pink fleece/polyester cupcake footie (UPC#883953366405) bought at Buy Buy Baby. Size 3 months. Problem is on other Little Me polyester footies as well.

We bought the Little Me pink fleece cupcake footie (UPC#883953366405) at Buy Buy Baby for our newborn daughter and it is extremely dangerous and should be recalled. The hemming/finishing around the cuffs (as well as the neck) consists of tiny loops that are the perfect size for a baby’s fingers to get stuck in, which is exactly what happened to our daughter. She could have very easily lost her finger because it was caught tangled in the garment and we did not know until we saw that her finger was dark blue with the loop cutting off her circulation 10+ minutes later. This was extremely terrifying for us as new parents and could have been very disastrous. This is not just a problem with our specific garment- I looked at some of the other Little Me fleece (polyester) footies while in Buy Buy Baby again the other day, and this type of cuff finishing is on many of their designs. We sincerely hope that you will recall these products before a little one loses a finger. They are poorly designed and very dangerous, and should be taken off of the market immediately.
