  1. No one hurt

Made Oct 26, 2011, sent to the company Dec 20, 2011, published by CPSC Jan 5, 2012

The product, in the report: yellow boys shirt. Size 12 months (although shirt is available in other sizes). Green alligator on the front. Mouth of the alligator flips up to show a squirrel on the inside of the mouth. 2 black button eyes sewn on the front. The back of the shirt says “Which is the cleanest tooth?” The shirt was made by the company “Lazoo” and was sold in Babies R Us.

My 18 month old son was wearing a shirt by the company “Laazoo” that I purchased from Babies R Us. The shirt had 2 button eyes sewn on it. I put him down for a nap and when he woke up I realized that one of the buttons had come off sometime during his nap and he had swallowed it. The button was about 13mm in diameter. I was so lucky that he did not choke on this as I was not with him when he was taking his nap. After a day, the button passed though his system. This child’s shirt is yellow with a green alligator on the front of it. The alligator’s mouth flips up to show a squirrel brushing it’s teeth on the inside. The eyes are black buttons that are sewn on with black thread. The size I purchased was 12 months, however, this shirt is available in smaller months as well as larger month sizes.

I contacted the company as soon as this happened, but I have not received any communication back. I am so very lucky that nothing more serious happened to my son.
