The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made Jan 11, 2023, sent to the company Jan 17, 2023, published by CPSC Jan 31, 2023

The product, in the report: Hanna Andersson children’s corduroy overalls in colorful pear print. Size purchase 18-24 months.

I purchased a pair of baby corduroy overalls from the retailer Hanna Andersson in October 2022. Upon receipt, one of the metal side snaps on the overalls fell out, I discovered my child carrying it around. Worried about choking hazard, I contacted the retailer and they sent me a replacement product. After using the replacement product for 2 months, the metal shoulder buckles broke apart in the wash, I found many small broken, sharp metal pieces scattered around. Again I alerted the retailer customer service (Jan 2023) that this is a potentially dangerous product due to the propensity of the metal pieces on the garment to break and/or fall off. I do not believe that the retailer adequately acknowledged my safety concern, therefore I am reporting this issue.
