The product, in the report: 7.4 volt gerbing heated socks product number G7F15A05-BLK-SMAL
I purchased a pair of Gerbing heated socks. Made or sold by Gyde Supply Co.I purchased them from a seller on Ebay. They were new unopened, unworn. About the 20th time I wore them the wires across the top of my foot shorted together, causing a painful second degree burn . I have contacted Gerbing, but have gotten nowhere with them.

The product, in the report: Gerbing 12v heated socks
I saw the you have a recall listed on the Gerbing and Harley heated jacket liner for possible burning. Well just last month the same thing happened with my Gerbing, microfiber heated socks. Riding to Daytona Bike week week, both socks at different times, did this. The left one did so mildly, but the right sock completely melted at the connection area inside the sock, burning my right foot, pain so severe that I nearly wrecked my bike. I did call Gerbing and they knew right away what I was talking about and told me what was the problem. The heat shrink tubing around the soldered connection was too short, allowing the short. They did replace the socks. I feel other should be notified of this to prevent a possible death or injury while riding.
