  1. Seen by a doctor or nurse

Made Apr 19, 2017, sent to the company May 15, 2017, published by CPSC May 30, 2017

The product, in the report: Stretch type underwear with words FleX Wear It printed on the inside. The shorts have pink and purple stripes on them and say Made in China.

On January 28, 2017 my wife purchased two pair of underwear from Ross Clothing Store in North Charleston, SC. She hadn’t worn them until Saturday April 1, 2017 when she wore one of them, a pink striped pair.

After wearing them on Saturday. April 1, 2017, she noticed her skin on the upper portion of her buttocks was irritated. red, and itchy and she subsequently experienced a rash on her chest as well that was deep red and itchy. I noticed an area of skin was very red and swollen. She was having a hard time sitting in a raised back chair at work, home and in the car. She told me that it was burning and itching really bad and this went on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. At some point during the week of April 2, 2017 she asked her dermatologist about the irritated area. The dermatologist told her to take some [antihistamine] to help clear up the rash and she did but the redness continued. No letters could be seen at this time just a big red area with what looked like lines going left and right.

Still experiencing pain and itching, on Friday April 7, 2017 my wife asked me to examine the spot again and at that time I could actually clearly read the letters FLEX in her skin along with multiple rows of lines beneath it. At this time I took a picture of the area and I could see where the letters FLEX were on her skin.

After asking her what clothes she may have worn that contained the word Flex she found a pair of underwear that she had worn on Saturday, April 1, 2017. The lettering matched perfectly to the word FleX. Over the next 7 days the letters in the area began to look better but she was still experiencing it itching.

On April 15, 2017, I took another picture of the affected area and could still see the damaged skin from the lettering on the underwear.
