Emergency room Made Jan 27, 2012, sent to the company Feb 6, 2012, published by CPSC Feb 28, 2012
The product, in the report: Faded Glory baby boys’ 12 pack assorted socks, 0-6 months
I recently purchased Faded Glory baby boys’ 12 pack assorted socks, 0-6 months from Wal-Mart. I put the socks on my 3 month old that morning and he went to day care. That afternoon, he was very fussy. I undressed him for bathtime and as I put him in the bathtub, I noticed that his toe was swelled and red. Upon further investigation, he had thread from the sock wrapped around his toe. The thread dhad already penetrated the skin and had cut off circulation. We immediatley took him to the doctor, where he had to have a surgical procedure to remove the thread that had cut his toe almost to the bone. His toe had to be glued back together because the cut was so severe. After the incident was over, I looked closely at the socks and there were several loose threads on the inside of the sock. I am requesting that this product be reviewed to determine if a recall needs to be made. Please contact me if you need any further information. Thank you in advance for your timely response to this matter.

Seen by a doctor or nurse Made Sep 28, 2011, sent to the company Oct 20, 2011, published by CPSC Nov 3, 2011
The product, in the report: faded glory blue jean shorts and capris, size 10 in the shorts and size 12 in capris
Around the last of may or the first of june i bought two pairs of faded glory blue jeans from wal-marts in lumberton N.C.. One was a pair of shorts and the other was a pair of capris, i washed them before i wore them. Around the 10th of june i wore them and thats when i first broke out with a rash on both fornt of my thigh’s. on june 16th i had to go to the doctors due to the breakout and they prescibed me some medication (persidone) and the rash cleared up after taking the medicine within two days. At that time i hadnt thought it could of came from the blue jeans. after washing the blue jeans for the second time i wore them and broke out once again with a rash in the same place, so instead of returning to the doctors i had a refill on the persidone and began taking it again to get rid of the rash and it helped. then after re-washing the blue jeans i wore them again and the same thing happened but worser, i had to go to urgent care in pembroke on june 27th due to the trouble of not being able to breath, the rash had became worser than anytime before turning my thighs black and blue. while at urgent care they drawed blood, checked me for rockie mount spotted fever, and lime disease but it all turned out to be negative. they did find that my white blood cell count was a little higher than normal. they ended up giving me a shot not quite forsure what it was but it was to help with the rash and they also put me back on persidone along with medication to help with the itching. On june 28th or the 29th i returned the jeans to wal-mart, the same one that i purchased the pants from. i spoke with a lady name [redacted] who was the mannager and she wrote up an inccident report on the jeans and stated that CMI (Claims management inc.) would be contacting me with in five to seven buisness days. but on thursday evening june 30th i began to haveing trouble breathing again along wiht swelling in my face and dizzy spells. so my husband took me to the emergency room in lumberton N.C. and they cared me back and checked my blood pressure which turned out to be high, so they gave me medication to lower it along with the process of running tests on my heart and checked my legs were the rash formed and said i had busted blood vessels from scratching at the rash so much on my thighs. I was admitted into the hospital that night and they continued doing blood work, stress test on my heart, and continued to get my blood pressure lowered. the following day i was released and was told to follow up with my medical doctor. since my medical doctor was out on vacation they put me out of work that week until she arrived back and seen me. After seeing my medical doctor on july 11th she checked my white blood cell count again and it had dropped back down from a 13.3 to a 10.3, after explaing to her what happened she put me out of work for another week and refered me to an allergy doctor whom I continue to report to now as of august 31st which was my last appointment, he stated then that he wants me to start the allergy shots when i report back to him in october for my next appointment. he also stated that he wanted me to have the blue jeans tested to see if this is what’s causing my problems. since this has occured i have had alot of problems such as allerigic reactions to fish which i have ate most of my life without any trouble, and that fact of not being able to be around animal such as cats and dogs anymore without break-outs occuring around my legs and feet. this problem as you can see has been going on for the past 3 to 4 months. when walmarts had the pants they kept telling me that the company the pants came from one contact me, after awhile they finally contacted me and stated that the blue jeans didnt come from that company. so another lady whose name is also [redacted] who is the mannager at CMI finally called me on september 20th and said that the jeans came from two different companies, so she said she would send the UPC numbers off the jeans to the other company and some body there would contact me from that company, which they never did. she also said in the same time of talking to her that i could have the jeans back and have them tested my self, so on the following day i went to walmarts and spoke to a man named [redacted] who is the head mannager of walmarts in lumberton and told him that lady from CMI said that i could have the jeans back to have them tested my self. so he wrote out a paper stating that i could have the jeans back and he wrote down the UPC numbers off the jeans onto the paper and gave them back to me, which i still have the paper he wrote for me to get them back.
