The product, in the report: Barely There Bras

    Barely There Bras

I developed a severe rash on my breasts after wearing a Barely There bra, style no. 4104. My breasts were bright red with raised welts and severe itching. The rash was on the entire area that the cups of the bra touched my skin.

I purchased several Barely There bras on August 12, 2011 at Kohl’s. They were washed with my regular detergent before wearing.

After one day of wearing I had a severe reaction over the entire area where the cups touched my skin. The entire area that was covered by the cups of the bra was bright red, with raised welts and severe itching. I only wore one of the new Barely There bras one time. It took approximately 4 weeks for the rash to completely heal.

My daughter had also purchased Barely There style no. 4104 on August 12, 2011 and had the same severe reaction when she wore it one day.

I contacted Barely There on August 23, 2011. They had me mail them the two bras (the one I wore and one my daughter wore) and refunded my money. I cut one bra in half and kept one cup. I was able to return the other bras to Kohl’s.

I have worn other styles of Barely There bras for many years. In comparing the fabric content, I learned that myoid bras and the new bras have the same fabric content. I let the Barely There representative know that the fabric content is the same and expressed my concern that there is a chemical being used on the new bras. Barely There denies having any other reports of problems or the use of any chemicals.
