  1. No one hurt

Made Nov 20, 2017, sent to the company Mar 13, 2018, published by CPSC Mar 28, 2018

The product, in the report: These are yellow “smile” pajamas with blue flowers. baby gear is the brand name listed on the back neck tag and the side tag. Lower on the side tag however it lists: Cutie Pie Baby Inc. 34 West 33rd St. 5th Floor New York, NY 10001 USA There is an RN# on the tag that reads RN#100364 Made in Vietnam There is a second side tag that reads: HB1225622SH 028 10/07/2016 Hanoi - Vietnam I believe these were purchased at Shopko in Waupaca, WI

We received these pajamas brand new at my baby shower. My daughter has only worn them a few times and I went to put them on her and I noticed one of the metal button pieces (the circular piece the button snaps into), had come off completely.

This may have happened in the wash, however I cannot be certain. It does say to machine wash which is what I did.

It is very alarming as my baby (as do most) is constantly grabbing at her clothes and pulling on them and puts everything in her mouth. The concern I have is that it could come loose and break off when a baby is in their crib, especially when not being supervised, and baby puts it in their mouth. Or in normal crawling/playing situations it could happen as well.

The other concern is I am unaware of when or where this came off, so I have a small metal piece somewhere now that I need to track down so my soon to be crawling baby doesn’t find it and choke on it.

  2. No one hurt

Made Aug 1, 2016, sent to the company Aug 9, 2016, published by CPSC Aug 23, 2016

The product, in the report: Infant sleeper/ 6-9 mos/ Made by Baby Gear/ Bangladesh/ sold by BJ’s Warehouse/ RN#100364/ SKU #56999/ HB#1254153/ Dated 03/15/2016/ other tag number #121/100% cotton, printed with flowers and small animals on white background.

My daughter-in-law purchased an infant sleeper at BJ’s Wholesale in Amherst, NY a month or so ago. The first time she used it, one of the snaps came apart and she found the pointed section in her daughter’s mouth (baby aged 9 months). When she was showing me what happened, so I could return it to BJ’s for her, as she is out of town for a month, another snap came apart into two sections again. I do not know how many may have been sold, but the specifics are: Baby Gear Footed Sleeper 6-9 mos RN #100364 SKU #56999 HB 1254153 Made in Bangladesh 121 03/15/2016

This is all the information on the tags and the item itself. I do not know how many may have been sold, but they may be a danger to babies, if they should swallow the parts of the snaps with the pointed, sharp ends on them, so we thought we should report it.
