The product, in the report: Amazon Essentials Men’s Straight-Fit Woven Pajama Pant with Pockets -Light Blue White Plaid

I purchased mens pajama pants from Amazon. When I received the package, I could tell that the item had been used and re-shipped because it was in generic packaging that I have seen with other orders. I had also bought multiple quantities of this same pajama pants as they were going to be Christmas gifts. This was the only one in different packaging. When I opened the sealed item and pulled the pajama pants out of the plastic, the item smelled awful, and when I unfolded the pants, I noticed a large stain on the back end that told me someone had defecated in these pants.

It is clear that someone had ordered these pants, defecated in them, and returned them to Amazon. Amazon sealed them without checking the item, and shipped them out to the next buyer.

This is a serious biohazard mistake on Amazons part. Not wanting to return the pants, so they are not shipped out again I immediately looked for a phone number on Amazons website so that I could call customer service. I was able to reach customer service, however, the highest level of manager, I was able to get was only able to provide a refund and submitting a report. I am unhappy with this result, as I am sure several reports are made to Amazon, and this one will only get lost in the shuffle. I was able to at least have the manager escalate the subject of the report to hazardous, but prior to me insisting on that he only recognized it as a used item, which I felt the situation was not being taken as seriously as it should.

In making this report, it is my goal that Amazon have better processes and procedures in place when receiving used items and repackaging them. I feel that they should also make their buyer aware that they are receiving a used item. Again, I feel that this is a serious biohazard to their consumers. I am deeply upset, concerned, and traumatized by what I opened with that package.
