The product, in the report: The product is a 5536inch LED bathroom mirror with an integrated black aluminum frame and builtin lighting. It is a large, wallmounted, lighted vanity mirror designed for bathroom use with dimmable LED lights and a high color rendering index (CRI90+) to provide consistent illumination. The mirror has multiple lighting color modes and a modern, minimalist aesthetic. It was purchased new from Amazon, and the power is supplied via a hardwired electrical connection.
On January 14, 2026, while a wall-mounted, lighted mirror was mounted on the wall and being used as intended, I noticed smoke and smelled something burning coming from inside the unit. The mirror had not been touched or moved, and no external factors contributed to the incident. Recognizing the potential danger, I immediately disconnected power to the mirror. This incident created a serious electrical fire hazard.
