The product, in the report: Samsung Galaxy Watch6 LTE Smartwatch (40mm), Black
Product: Samsung Galaxy Watch6 LTE (40mm) Model: SM-R935U Serial Number: RFAX405JWHK IMEI: [REDACTED]
Incident Description: On December 5, 2025, I suffered a thermal injury while wearing this device on my wrist during sleep. I woke up to find a large, fluid-filled bulla (blister) approximately 2cm in diameter directly underneath the watch’s sensor array. The injury was not a rash or allergic reaction but a distinct thermal burn consistent with overheating components.
Injury Progression:
Dec 5: Immediate formation of large blister.
Dec 9: Blister roof detached, revealing deep tissue damage and a necrotic wound bed.
Dec 15: Wound is currently open, scabbing, and requires ongoing medical care.
Status: The device has been removed and preserved. I have photographic evidence of the entire injury progression. I am reporting this to prevent similar thermal runaway incidents for other users.
