The product, in the report: Doki Watch S Kid’s Smartwatch Color: Dazzle Pink Frequency Model: 1900/850 SKU: DOKIWATCH-1901-DP
We purchased a product called Doki Watch which is advertised as a smart watch for kids. After receiving the product, I had my 8 year old daughter try it on and went on to test it for a video call. A few seconds after the video call starts, my daughter starts saying “hot, hot, hot...” and then yelled for me to take the watch off. I immediately took the watch off from her hand which was not easy as the watch is designed to stay on the wearer. I felt the back of the watch and it felt warm. My daughter is complaining of pain on her wrist where the watch was.
I then replicated the conditions by making another video call again. I grabbed a laser temperature reader and measured the temp on the back of the watch. It was 57 deg C or 135 deg F. The screen of the watch is showing a message that the battery is overheating with instruction to remove it. But the battery is not removable. I was lucky that I was beside my daughter when this happens and was able to remove the watch right away. Others may not be so lucky.
