The product, in the report: Disney Sofia the First childs watch

My three year old daughter, [REDACTED], received a Disney Sofia the First watch as a gift. She kept the watch at her father’s house, but she was allowed to wear it home. Unknown to us, the back of the watch had fallen off. [REDACTED] loved the watch and wanted to wear it to bed the evening of August 11th. The next morning she told me, “I hurt, Mommy.” and held her little arm out toward me to see. I could see the redness and swelling from around the watch face, and when I removed the watch she had what I consider a severe burn. I was able to get [REDACTED] in to her pediatritan’s office that day, otherwise we were going to the emergency room. Once there, three different doctors looked at the burn and debated if she needed to see a burn specialist. They decided it is a second degree burn and can be treated at home. Her physician prescribed burn medication, dressings, and an antibiotic. He also suggested contacting the store where the watch was purchased and the manufacturer as this could be a recall issue. [REDACTED]’s doctor also ordered a follow-up visit to ensure the burn is healing properly. That visit was today. The burn is not healing as expected, so [REDACTED] has now been referred to a plastic surgeon and faces the possibility of having a skin graft on her little arm.
