Hurt, care not known Made Aug 10, 2016, sent to the company Aug 18, 2016, published by CPSC Sep 1, 2016
The product, in the report: Watch with a rubber band.
I bought a Casio watch model # F-91W recently at Walmart. A week or so after wearing it I developed a rash/welt on my wrist. It came from the watch band which is made out of a rubber type material. After taking it off for a week or so it healed up so I put it back on and in a couple of days it started the skin irritation again. I had bought the same exact watch about 3 years ago and it did not cause any problems.I do a lot of mowing and the heat and sweat seem to accelerate the problem. If I put on my [REDACTED] watch with a metal band I have no such problem. I have noticed that when I buy any rubber type product from China ( which is practically everything) such as a grill or mower cart that has rubber it has a very strong smell and I have to lay the wheels outside for several days to get rid of the smell before I can put them in my garage. My main question is what are they putting in the rubber that they use? Has it been tested?
