The product, in the report: BEWELL Brand Fashion Men Wood Quartz Watch High-quality Luminous Water-resistant Maple Wooden Mens Casual Wristwatch with Calendar (taken directly off of the web page)
On June 6th, 2016 I purchased a Bewell brand wrist watch made of tiger maple wood from the website tomtop.com. I wore the watch on July the 8th and shortly and about midway through the day my wrist, directly under the watch bezel, began to show signs of irritation. I removed the watch and my skin was blistering. This blistering turned into a 2nd degree chemical burn which was quite uncomfortable. It persisted to spread and blister for the better part of a week and finally began to dry out. I suspect the wood was treated with some toxic chemical such as formaldehyde or some such thing. This is what my company nurse suggested.
July the 8th was very hot in [REDACTED] with a temp above 110 that day and I sweat heavily. This is the second watch like this (same brand} that I have purchased and I had no issues with the first.
