The product, in the report: FSL Decimate Earmuffs 34dB NRR Protection - Professional Ear Defenders for Shooting - 3 Year Warranty.

Ordered item from Amazon, Carlton store. June 2015. FSL Decimate Safety Earmuff / Ear Defender for Shooting, Hunting, Drumming, Motor Racing, Home Improvement, Studying, Construction - NRR 34 dB - 3 Year warranty. (FSL = Future Sound Lab UK, http://www.futuresoundlab.co.uk/)

Gripped the 3yr old hearing protectors by the ear cups, spread the cups to fit over my head, started to place them on my head and the sprung headband broke where it grips the wire supporting one of the ear cups. The hard plastic sharp end of the broken headband snapped into my skull with sufficient force to cause a small wound, swelling, and some ringing of my ear on that side.
