The product, in the report: Pandora Twist of fate stackable ring
I recently purchased a ring from Pandora in Las Vegas. I asked the lady if the ring was sterling silver - she assured me ‘yes, it has the stamp.’ I wore the ring a few days later and my finger broke out in an irritating rash. It has never done that before with silver, so I thought maybe it was due to something else. So I stopped wearing the ring and let my finger heal. A week later, I put the ring on again, and sure enough I broke out again. I searched the Pandora website and found one (buried) statement regarding nickel in their products. I contacted Pandora for a refund and explanation. Their response was that the products do not contain nickel and my irritation must be because of a lotion or something I used. Searching online, it appears many have gotten the same story from Pandora. I work in the regulatory field and there are severe consequences under OSHA for not reporting a hazardous component. Seems likes heavy metal should be required to be reported in consumer products.
