First aid Made Apr 10, 2013, sent to the company Apr 18, 2013, published by CPSC May 9, 2013
The product, in the report: YakTrax Walk track system. Sold by sporting good stores: EMS, REI, Dick’s. Traction device that attaches to bottom of a boot.
Wearing Yak Traks purchased at EMS. Rubber piece holding metal spring broke causing spring to flap loose. The loose spring tangled and connected with the springs on the unbroken Yak on opposite boot. This caused my two feet to become connected propelling me to the ground. The fall caused scrapes, bruising and twisted ankle.
