The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Wonder Nation Toddler Girl 2 buckle footbed sandals in white. Size 11.

I purchased a pair of sandals from Walmart for me 3 year old. She wore them for less than 1 day. Two pieces that hold the sandal together broke off, both a very small metal or metal looking pieces that could be easily choked on. This also is a tripping hazard as the shoe comes partially off the foot without the straps being held together.

The product, in the report: baby girl jelly shoes

The consumer contacted the CPSC hotline because she says that her daughter’s levels of lead have increased since she started to wear these kinds of shoes, which her grandmother got from her last year. The girl, who is currently 2 years old, has had two lead tests previously and her levels were good.

The mother, who contacted CPSC, noticed some changes in her daughter’s health she realized since she had been wearing these pair of shoes. She did some research and they contain lead. After that, she contacted the manufacturer, Walmart, but they didn’t give her any kind of explanation, help, suggestion, and they actually didn’t seem interested.

The consumer wants this product to be out of reach of any consumer, especially because the level of lead increases with the age group.

The product, in the report: Purple toe covered children’s sandels

I bought wonder nation slip on sandels for my 2 year old. We used them to walk around our block once and when we returned home we found the that sandels had left 2 gashes on her feet and have become infected since then. They have a rough protruding inseam on the top cover part of the feet. I am amazed how quickly this left a gash on her feet and am concerned for anyone else having this hurt their child as well
