Hurt, no treatment Made Jan 26, 2017, sent to the company Feb 10, 2017, published by CPSC Feb 27, 2017
The product, in the report: Vans Skate Docket Shoes, VN-0KWNBA5, mens in size 10.5.
I purchased a pair of Vans Docket Shoes (style # VN-0KWNBA5) in August 2016. I admit that I wore the shoes quite a bit. I wore them to work, skateboarding, workouts, running, etc. There is a plastic cup in the heel of the shoes, covered by fabric. Within 5 months of wearing the shoes, the fabric covering the cup wore off and the plastic on the edge of the heel cup is sharp. The plastic cut through my socks and cut into my heel. I had to use about 4 napkins from our breakroom to stop the plastic from cutting into my skin. I had to prematurely buy new shoes as the shoes were cutting me.
