Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Flip Flops

I Purchased a pair of flip flops for my 9 yr old daughter from Target and as she began to walk in them she slipped across the floor. As I inspected the tip flops I realized that the sole of the shoes are coated in a material that makes the shoes slippery on indoor floors (not rugs). I tried to file a complaint with Target about these shoes being dangerous for young girls to wear, but was told that if I was not happy with the product, that I should return them to the store. I will be returning them, but I feel strongly that they are dangerous for children.

Last year I had purchased a pair of flip flops for myself and after a serious fall realized that they had material on the soles. They were very slippery
