Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. Hurt, no treatment

Made Jul 8, 2020, sent to the company Aug 10, 2021, published by CPSC Aug 24, 2021

The product, in the report: Size 11, Composition material men’s sandals (soft plastic sole) Note: Name “George” also printed on area where the bottom of a person’s heel rests.

The adult consumer wore the sandals one day (approx. 5- 6 hours).

The next morning, the areas where the straps go across the top of his feet, were redden. The area was not swollen, they did not itch or hurt.

The consumer said that if someone was sensitive to this material, they could potentially be injured.

The consumer has purchased other shoes from this retailer (possibly different brands), but not sandals. He has not experienced any problems with those shoes.

There has been some improvement with the reddening, but it is still present 4 days later. Still present on 7-13-20. On 7-16, top layer of skin peeled as it would after a sunburn but that area was covered.
