The product, in the report: Product Name: Shyanne Toddler Cowboy Boots Size: 7C Color: Brown leather with cream/off-white floral embroidery. Features: Western-style toddler cowboy boots with a side zipper closure and decorative embroidery on the shaft. Condition/Defect: The inner insole is completely missing from the boot, leaving multiple metal nails exposed and protruding through the interior base of the sole. The item was purchased used at a resale shop (Kid to Kid) and is structurally hazardous due to the exposed metal hardware inside the footbed.
On July 10, 2026, while attempting to put these boots on my toddler for a themed event, she expressed pain and said “ow.” Upon immediate inspection, I discovered the inner insole was completely missing from the boot. This defect left multiple metal nails exposed and protruding through the bottom of the boot’s interior. These sharp, exposed nails posed an immediate and severe risk of puncture wounds and physical injury to my child’s foot. The boots are structurally unsound and represent an extreme safety hazard. I have retained the boots as evidence and have contacted the retailer and corporate office regarding this defective product.
