I bought Reebok sneakers that have a plastic accessory in the form of a flash. The plastic thing (flash) on the outside side is very sharp. Every time I run, this plastic tears my skin to the point of bleeding. During walking or running, the ankle bends and with each bend the sharp end tears the skin, that is, every step is very painful and tears the skin more and more. I wore them twice and both times my feet bled.

Amazon delivered a pair of Reebok Men’s BB4500 Hi 2 Sneaker, Black to me on February 10th. As I took 1 shoe out of the box , the fumes almost knocked me off my chair and i had a nasty headache within 1-2 minutes. I put the shoes out on my back porch . I am not generally sensitive to this kind of thing but these fumes were *toxic* I checked them today after 2 weeks outside and the off-gassing is just as bad. These shoes were made/assembled in Vietnam. Maybe my problem is result of manufacturing boo-boo, but I would be very concerned about the atmospheric conditions in Reebok factory along with risk of disorders like aplastic anemia.

While wearing Reebok EasyTone sneakers walked down 1 step And because of [REDACTED] my ankle rolled to the right which in turned caused me to fractures in my right ankle. I called Reebok stating the sneakers should have some sort of warning or an orange sticker, which they blew off! This happened 9 years ago!! I had surgery after my 4 casts were finally removed for good and having cellulitis!! I get injections in my ankle every 4-6 months I have atrophy from all the injections and am in constant pain! Drs say eventually I will need an ankle replacement this has been a horrific nightmare!!!

I received a pair of the Reebok SimplyTone shoes as a gift and after wearing them for a few days I started experiencing extreme back pain. I did not think much about it at the time because I had been mowing grass and just thought that was the cause. I continued wearing the shoes and I have suffered from extreme back pain since. I am 100% certain these shoes are what caused the pain. I am presently under doctors care because of this and I do not yet know the extent of the injuries to my back. I also sustained injuries to my ankles while wearing these shoes which required emergency room visits. I did not realize these shoes could be the source of the problem until I saw an advertisement about them causing back injuries.

I have worn reebok runtones for over a year. I wore them for the cushioning not the toning. I know there was litigation for false claims for toning legs. I started having back,hamstring problems. I have been going to ortho doctor and physical theapy with little relief. Then I realized it may be the shoes. Since I have discontinued wearing them, my legs/back are much better. I saw on the web that others have had the same issues. These shoes shoul not be on the market. Do I need to contact Reebok?

While wearing reebok easy tone sneakers during my long work shifts I began having back pain. A week went by and the pain increase with sharp hip pain. It affected my walking I wasn’t able to move my left leg without pain my right knee had a lot of pain. I had to take off from work because I felt like I had a knife on my scarum causing pain to radiate down my leg. It was during my time off that I stopped wearing the sneakers and made the connection. I have gotten massage, chiropractor, and went to the dr who prescribed pain killers. After wearing these sneakers I now have to go through a long journey to recovery. I feel these sneakers should be taken off the market or have warning label indicating if worn too long it may cause problems.

I had been wearing Reebook Easy Tone Sneakers for about one year and could not understand where my leg pain was coming from until I put a new pair fo Reebok Simple Tone Sneakers on. Within 48 hours I was crippled. I could not walk. Both my legs/knees blew up like ballons, the right knee more so than the left. My back was/is killing me. I was/am screaming and crying in pain. I missed several days of work and could/can not walk without extreme pain and anguish! I have to take pain meds, ibuprofen, water pills and use ice packs often to feel only slightly better. I finally got an MRI just on my right leg and I have a 2cd Degree MCL Sprain in my knee with fluid build up/cyst that has ruptured and is slowly draining. I have not had an MRI on the left knee but may very shortly. I am sick to my stomach, literally! I have a fever! I am a mess. I can affirm that these sneakers caused MY INJURIES!!! It has been 8 weeks since the injury and my knees are still swollen. I am still in pain and cannot sleep at night. What a mess! I have been crying and my friends and family just do not know what to do or say. I live alone and I can tell you that this has been the most difficult and painful experience I have every gone through in the my life and it is not over yet. I am going to the Orthopedic tonight for X-rays and consult. I am not sure what my next move is, but I certianly hope something can be done to prevent Reebok from selling these sneakers!!!! I have not contacted a lawyer, but may consider doing so if this injury requires surgery and/or rehab. I have already spent thousands on missed work, doctors visits, medications and miscellanous over the counter meds and ice packs. PLEASE HELP!!!! I need to heal and help prevent this from happening to any one else. I just want to walk again as I did prior to wearing these awful sneakers. FYI-Reebok took my four pairs of sneakers (1 pair used and 3 pair brand new) back “as a one time courtesy” and gave me full retail credit and $40 for return shipping.

I am a 31 yr old female,I purchased the Reebok Run Tone sneakers to help me on the journey of becoming healthier. I have had them since October 2011. I began to endure minor back aches that then became so severe and endless to the point of seeking medical attention! I have been in tears for over 2 weeks now over the pain, and unable to enjoy life! I was sent for testing which had put fear into me because the DR thought it was possibly kidney problems due to the pain location and was also prescribed muscle relaxers, and anti-inflamitories. Nothing was found to be wrong with me but was still left with the excrutiating, and at times unbearable pain,so i then began to think of what I had been doing differently and came up with the time I got the sneakers matching the time the pains began! I then decided to research it and now see that many others are or have suffered the same experience with these sneakers! Very unsafe product and will NEVER buy from Reebok again!! $86.00 for 2 months of worst than child birth pain! VERY VERY disgusted with Reebok!!

I believe Reebok RunTone shoes caused a calve and achille heel injury. I ran in these shoes on a treadmill for approximately 2 weeks and began to experience intense pain in my achilles heel and calve muscle. I stopped using the shoe for about 3 weeks. When I wore them again, I experienced the same pain after several hours of wear.
I have yet to see a medical professional for this injury, but will if the pain does not subside in the very near future.

My 19-yr old daughter has been wearing Reebok’s RunTone shoes since December of last year. She has been experiencing severe leg, knee and lower back pain. She has been diagnosed as having inflamed hamstring muscles, tendonitis of the knee and has developed “Pes Anserinus bursitis” which is causing her excrutiating pain. Her doctors and I have been at a loss as to why this would happen to a healthy, slim 19-yr old. Her sciatic nerve has been affected also which leads to pain down both legs to her feet.
After hearing about the FTC recall of these shoes and reports of similar incidents, I decided to file an official complaint because I want to make sure these incidents are fully investigated. This is not just a case of false advertisement. This is a case of a product that causes damage and severe injuries. And it must be stopped.
This has been so bad that I started looking for Muscular Dystrophy specialists who could test my daughter because I thought this could be a form of MD or MS. You have no idea of the worry and the pain this has caused us. Please investigate this situation and advise users of the possible consequences of wearing Easy Tone/Run Tone shoes.

I had on reebok easytones and was running after my Son. The ball of the shoe made my left foot curl under. I since then have seen two doctors and been to Physical therapy numerous times. I have had exrays, ASTYM therapy(which is horribly painful), ESTYM therapy, and strain-counter strain therapy amoungst other therapies for my pain, counting up hundreds in doctors visits. My injury which started in my foot has gone to my knee my hip, my rib cage, my upper back and neck due to muscular compensation. I now live in daily pain. I cannot exercise because it flares on this injury. I had to stop running, dancing, wearing high heels and other. It’s been horrible.

I purchased a womens pair of Reebok Easytone after hearing and reading various ads. The ads claimed that the shoes would help tone the muscles in my glutes, and legs. I purchased the shoes in May and have worn them for work purpose. Today, October 6, 2011, I have stopped wearing the shoes because of extreme knee pain! I have been undergoing physio therapy as well as massage therapy to help deal with the knee pain! I have missed time from work and now and unable to work out! I am feeling very depressed and wonder if this pain will ever go away!

I bought the Reebok EasyTone shoes (#55027665) about a month and a half ago to tone my buttocks after having a baby since I read the ads about how well they will tone you. The shoes haven’t helped but instead caused me to roll my ankle. I was wearing them yesterday when I took my daughter for a walk in her stroller when I rolled it. It was because the sole on the bottom of the shoe made my foot unstable and it rolled out and in turn I fell in the grass and was unable to stand up for a few minutes. I’m not overweight in any way, I weigh 125 lbs. and I’m 5’5”. I have very strong legs but I wanted to tone myself more beacuase I am young and want to look great after having a baby. My ankle is swollen and bruised. When I woke up today and opened the paper I saw the claim against Reebok and I’m intersted in hearing more and seeing if I have a claim. In any sort, as I said, I am a single mother and can’t afford to go to the hospital to get it checked out in fear of having a debt I cannot afford. I bought 2 pair of reebok toning shoes ( easy tone and simply tone). The next day I had on the simply tones, they rolled and I twisted my left ankle going down stairs. When the right foot landed on the next step it rolled, and I fell. ER visit along with Orthopedic visit confirmed ( SPIRAL FRACTURE TO MY RIGHT FIBULA ) These shoes are very unstable!! So now instead of walking for exercise I’m not walking at all and in terrible pain. If these shoes are going to be sold they need to come with a huge WARNING because just trying them on they feel great.

I purchased a pair of Reebok Runtone shoe from the lady footlocker, I wore these a couple of weeks and I started having hip and leg pain. I quit wearing the shoes, but had to have injections in February and still have a ongoing problem with hip and leg and foot pain, just had a more injections as of last month.

I was out walking wearing my reebok easy tone trainers around the 24th july when i suddenly felt my ankle turn which caused me a lot of pain.. i managed to hobbled back.. for 2 weeks not wanting to make a fuss i just iced and tried to put my foot up.. the pain got so bad and the swelling wouldn’t heal that i took myself off to hospital on the 7th august.. Left Ankle was xrayed torn ligaments and was sent to bone specialist on the monday as they suspected i had a talus avulsion.. Bone specialist confirmed on the monday. on the 3rd september i was allowed to come off the crutches and put my foot to the floor.. air cast off 9th september.. walked with shoe on 11th leg became very swollen.. aircast put back on the 13th am allowed to take off 4th oct and try again.. if it swells again i have to have an mri.. i have had phsio and they’ve told me i already have scared ligament tissue. i have 3 more months at least recovery.

My son gave me a pair of reebok tone up for my birthday in Dec. 2010. I wore the shoes 5 days a week to work. in late June i started to having knee pain, early July i had knee pain and swelling. i went to the doctor, i’ve had an xrays and an MRI and i am currenlty in physical therapy, with a torn menicus and needed surgery to repair this problem.

I wore the black toning shoes for 2 weeks. I had a lot of pain in rt foot so I quit wearing them. 2 months later my foot was still hurting. I had a uric acid test to rule out gout, which was normal. had a xray, it was normal. Podiatrist said to have a ct because she thought by the xray it had a stress fracture and by ct scan it did. Now I have to wear an air cast for 4 weeks. I work for a busy physicians office so this is very discouraging.

I bought Reebok easytone shoes. I can barely wear them. If i wear the shoes for 5 hours i get pain in my feet and ankles. I also get shin splints really bad. I bought the shoes a few months ago and they look like they have never been worn. My feet and shins hurt so BAD when wearing n walking in the shoes. There should be a recall on these shoes. I did research online and many ppl are having the same exact problems i am with these shoes.

In August of 2010 I bought the Reebock Eazytone Sneakers, About 3 months ago, I began having foot pain. I waited about 10 days, but the pain did not subside so I went to the Dr. X-rays were taken and I was diagnosed with a stress fracture in my 2nd metatarsal. I was put in an orthopaedic boot for a few weeks to let it heal. When I returned for a follow up, I was told to only wear sneakers for a few weeks, just to be sure we had given the fracture enough time to heal. So I started wearing my Reeboks again. Within 2 weeks the pain returned. The doctor put be back in the boot again for another 3 weeks. Again I was told to take it easy, wear nothing but sneakers, and come back for a follow up. So I did. Then I heard the rumors about the toning sneakers causing stress fractures. Not finding any concrete information about it on line, I decided to ask my orthopaedic what he thought on my follow up visit May 18th. Unfortunately, on May 17th I began having pain in my foot again...by the end of the day I couldn’t bear weight on it. At my appointment the next morning I was diagnosed with a 3rd stress fracture (on a different metatarsal this time). I didn’t bother asking my orthopaedic what he thought because at this point, I’m convinced those shoes are the reason I’ve spent the better part of the past 3 months in a boot, on crutches, or both. I only wish I had know about this before the trouble began!!!
