Ecology purchased a pair of “Brown Luvable Friends Baby Booties”, manufactured by BabyVision, Inc, for testing for compliance with Washington state laws. XRF Scans of the right and left brown shoe straps showed lead at prohibited levels, between 0.136% and 0.209%. Lead is limited by the CPSIA to .01% in children’s products. An infant mouthing or sucking this product could potentially result in harmful exposure to lead.
