The product, in the report: Jack Rogers - brand Georgica Jelly Sandal, Adult Women’s, Size 9, color black

I purchased the Jack Rogers Georgica Jelly Sandal at a local retailer a few months ago. I’ve been wearing them without issue this summer.

I went to Dewey Beach, Delaware the weekend of August 20-21, 2016 with 19 other women, and wore them on the beach. On August 20, the sand was hot, and I’m assuming the heat from the sand transferred to the “jelly” shoes causing second degree burns on the bottom of both feet. I believe the temperature was about 84 degrees f. As I started to walk on the sand, they became hotter and hotter and more painful to wear. None of the other girls had burns, and they walked the same route I did. The amount of time for this to happen was under five minutes.

A link to the product is here: I own them in black. https://www.jackrogersusa.com/georgica-jelly-118

If you look on the website this is the description: Embrace the playful style that defined your youth - the jelly. The Georgica Jelly Sandal is the perfect version of our everyday sandal that you can wear without worry to the pool or beach thanks to its water-friendly construction. And this season, it’s turning heads in bright new hues.

I believe advertising them for the beach is dangerous, especially since I was the only one who had burns like I did. It appears that they get too hot when you walk on the sand, and the labeling/description of the product needs to be changed to state they are not for beach wear.
