The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made May 27, 2025, sent to the company Jun 5, 2025, published by CPSC Jun 27, 2025

The product, in the report: Lightweight casual slip-on shoe, mens size [insert your size], color: brown/tan with white sole. Foam sole with minimal tread and low-density material. Purchased from Marshalls last week.

While walking casually on pavement, I stepped on a small stick and it fully punctured the sole of my Hey Dude shoe, stabbing directly into my foot. Fortunately, there was no injury, but the sole material was so soft and thin that it offered virtually no protection. The fact that a basic outdoor object could penetrate the outsole during normal use raises serious concerns about the safety and durability of this product.

I was using the shoes as intended for everyday casual walking and I was not in a hazardous environment. This could pose a severe injury risk to others, especially children or older adults who might not react quickly.

Hey Dudes customer service dismissed my concern, stating they had forwarded it to marketing, and offered no follow-up or escalation. This is clearly a product safety issue, not a promotional one.

Im submitting this report to ensure the products design and materials are properly reviewed for consumer protection.
